If you’re in search of a Wine Cooler to keep both your red and white wines constantly at a serving temperature you relish, the Haier 12 Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler is probably your best option. Let’s go through every aspect of this model and you can decide if it’s something you require.

The cooler is divided into two sections, a bottom zone and an upper zone (Dual Zone). The Upper compartment is ideal for red wines and the lower for white wines. A dual touch screen with LED display allows you to switch control between the two zones.

The upper zone can be adjusted anywhere between 46-66F and the lower zone at 54-66F.

First and foremost you need to know that this Haier Dual Zone Wine Cooler is totally vibration free as the motors are steady in their position. If silence is what you’re in search of, this model is just what you need. It cannot be heard under normal circumstances. However, in pin-drop silence you’d notice that it is as loud as most desktop computers.

During the summers, the motors are going to be running almost constantly if you stay in high temperature localities. In such cases you may notice that the sound is just like that of a mini-fridge. Again, this isn’t loud at all.

Yes, it does fit all sized wine bottles, but if they’re too large (Champagne sized fatter bottles) you would need to use the bottom shelf of each side. Sadly, the legs are fixed in position and you cannot adjust them as per the contour of your mini-cellar or kitchen floor. So if you’ve got a carpet, you’re best off placing it on a board.

Sadly the Haier HVTEC12DABS doesn’t come with an inbuilt locking system and there’s no way for you to add one to it either. If you’ve got a toddler at home and are looking to child proof the house or maybe just keep these bottles out of reach of your kids, this isn’t the best option. If you see the product image it’s pretty obvious that the lighting inside the wine cooler isn’t that great. You can’t really see past the top tier and the illumination keeps decreasing as you move further down. However, lighting shouldn’t be an issue here as you’ve got just 12 bottles at maximum capacity. Keeping track isn’t an issue at all. The faint lighting actually gives this unit a classy look.

Apart from the light just at the top tier, the curved door has smoked glass (which is double layered to retain the coolness) and this decreases the intensity of the light even more.
