Frigidaire Range Hood Reviews

It’s likely that many people will have come across Frigidaire before. However, they’re probably better known for their general air conditioning range. Range hoods, of course, fall nicely under their remit, which makes looking at their kitchen products all the more worthwhile. Frigidaire range hoods add to their brimming catalog for home circulation, and they perform well against the competition.

The brand’s focus has always been on producing simple, great-looking ventilation units. They’ve transferred their mission over to range hoods well, meaning that there are more than a few powerful units available for purchase both through their own website and through Amazon. Chances are, if you’ve already got a Frigidaire dishwasher, refrigerator or air conditioner installed, you’ll find plenty of value in their cooker hoods. Let’s look at the most popular Frigidaire range hoods with further scrutiny.

Frigidaire FHPC3660LS 36" Island Range Hood

The Frigidaire Gallery FHPC3660LS Island Mount Range Hood is a top seller and boasts of a CFM of 400. It’s got a 3 speed centrifugal fan and halogen lighting. The hood has got push button controls and is easy to operate. You could either use it as a recirculating hood or a ducted hood. For it to function as a ductless hood you’re going to need to purchase an additional recirculation kit which is pretty expensive at around $90! For some reason this hood is a top seller, but personally we would say there are far better options out there for cheaper both in the short term and long term. You are going to need to replace those filters – high recurring costs.

More About Frigidaire

The first Frigidaire products emerged on the market during World War I. Nathaniel B Wales, and Alfred Mellowes developed their self-contained refrigerator in 1916, and it wasn’t long before the duo was taken under the wing of General Motors. It’s thought that Frigidaire may even be responsible for the word ‘fridge,’ used to describe a refrigerator unit. Electrolux currently owns the brand, making it part of an even more extensive empire.

Frigidaire range hoods are designed much like their other kitchen standards. As such, you can always expect ease of use and pleasing, natural designs. While there are more specialized hood manufacturers out there, Frigidaire is a brand that many have trusted for over 100 years. Therefore, it’s highly unlikely a product offered by the brand will fail to impress the mass market. If you already have Frigidaire or Electrolux products installed, a range hood will fit in nicely, too. Take a look at my reviews to learn more.
